I'm Emma Wiss, a wedding and elopement photographer based in Stockholm, Sweden, documenting weddings across Sweden and a select few locations in Europe. I photograph weddings intentionally, as they unfold, with a relaxed documentary approach and a love for analogue film. Over the last six years, I’ve photographed more than 100 weddings, from fashion-forward elopements to intimate, relaxed city weddings and grand weekend celebrations. I move around your day like a backstage photographer, looking for candid moments, intimate gestures, bold juxtapositions and the details that have your personalities written all over them.

I’m a relaxed, intimate wedding photographer based in Stockholm, Sweden, capturing your wedding with a documentary approach on film and digital. A backstage, documentary approach that’s actually candid
I capture weddings as if they were the backstage of a fashion show in the 90s, or, as the evening progresses, the after-party we all wanted to be invited to. Without interrupting important moments, telling you to move to better lighting or directing your day, I move around the room with intention, capturing bold juxtapositions, fashion-forward details, big smiles and loud cheers. My relaxed, documentary approach to wedding photography will give you a gallery that will help you remember your day as it actually was. Just like your wedding, your gallery will be full of emotions and moments. Some images will be quiet and intimate, others loud or emotional, and, for the most part, completely unscripted.
A relaxed experience above all
Before the couple even receives any photos, they thank me for helping them feel relaxed – on and off camera. Rather than directing your day or your guests into perfect photos, I laugh with your friends and make sure your grandmother feels comfortable coming up to talk to me. I remind you to take a deep breath and make sure you both get a chance to sneak off for a moment alone. I help you with the timeline and navigate family situations – so you can focus on enjoying your day. All the while, I document you and your loved ones in an effortless, relaxed and candid way. Because after photographing more than 100 weddings, I truly believe that the best wedding photos from your chic Stockholm wedding come from when you’re fully immersed and present, dancing through your night without a care in the world.
Fashion-forward, vintage feeling with intention
With a background in fashion, a deep-seated love for analogue mediums, and a fascination with old street photos, I naturally take a fashion-forward, nostalgic approach to my work. My work is shot on, or inspired by, analogue film - always carrying that timeless feel of old photos. I document weddings intentionally on both analogue film and digital, always opting for the medium that best serves the moment – a hybrid approach gives you the best of both worlds.

I’m Emma Wiss, a Stockholm wedding photographer with six years of experience photographing weddings, and more than 100 weddings in the bag. I document weddings the way a backstage photographer would - completely unstaged and without direction, on analogue film and digital.
Before I got into wedding photography, I had my eyes set on the fashion industry. While that was a short-lived relationship, my love for fashion, arts and personal expression often shows up in my work as a not-so-subtle nod to my background. I’ve been photographing everyday life on film for as long as I can remember, and I still carefully print my favourites. On my weekends off, you’ll find me at my local bakery, having breakfast with my husband and kid, or I’m out browsing vintage stores for unique finds.

After living and photographing weddings in Dublin and Ireland for several years, a lot of the Stockholm weddings I photograph now are international or multicultural. Birds of a feather flock together, they say. I often help international couples plan their Stockholm city elopement or microwedding, and I love these celebrations dearly. Multicultural, urban, or international weddings have a special atmosphere; there’s no arguing that.

Every wedding package includes analogue and digital coverage, a small preview within a few days and your finished gallery within 10 weeks. Coverage runs across Stockholm, Sweden and Scandinavia. Travel, film stock and processing are always included in your package. You can add a second photographer, an engagement session and printed products to your package.

In the months leading up to your wedding, we’ll meet for a consultation and go through your wedding in full. I help you with your timeline and make sure that dedicated photo moments become a natural part of your wedding day.
On the day: Analogue and digital coverage without the performance
I document your day with the medium that best serves the moment, without ever forcing you into awkward positions. Your wedding will be captured in a fashion-forward, effortless and completely unscripted way – so that you can focus on enjoying your celebration.
After: Your wedding gallery
10 weeks after your wedding, you’ll receive a private, online gallery. From here, you can easily download, share and view your images.

I mainly photograph weddings in Stockholm and the surrounding area. I also photograph weddings across Sweden each year, from the southern tip to the West Coast.

Wedding Photography Pricing
Wedding photography packages start at 46,000 SEK for eight hours of coverage, couples generally invest 50,000-70,000 SEK. Every package includes analogue and digital coverage, and I deliver the full gallery within 10 weeks. For elopements and intimate weddings, couples invest from 30,000 SEK.
You can add a second photographer, albums and engagement sessions to your package. All my quotes are bespoke and tailored to your specific wedding.
