The couple's love for Scandinavia led them to Ett Hem in Stockholm for their intimate elopement wedding. This was part of a series of weddings (yes, multiple!). Their relaxed elopement in Stockholm was exclusively for the two of them – a day devoted to each other and to visiting some of their favourite spots around the city. From the elopement venue to Maya's wedding dress, bridal jewellery, and accessories, everything had a meaningful story behind it, creating a truly personal wedding day.

Maya and Stefan, already legally married, were eager for a Scandinavian elopement. Their love for Ett Hem in Stockholm, which translates to "A Home," ultimately led them to choose the city for their special day. The warm, cosy atmosphere and exceptional service at Ett Hem make it a beloved boutique hotel—a perfect setting for wedding morning preparations and smaller celebrations. Ett Hem is truly an urban oasis that feels like stepping into someone's (extremely stylish) home.
Outlining the couple's stylish elopement in Stockholm
With the venue for the day already decided, I assisted the couple in planning a timeline for their city elopement, ensuring the day felt more like an experience than just a photoshoot. During our meetings, we discussed how they would prepare together at Ett Hem and the atmosphere they wanted for their vow exchange. The couple desired an informal, uncomplicated, and utterly beautiful vow exchange – just the two of them, without an officiant or strict schedule. They decided to read their vows in the greenhouse at Ett Hem, followed by dinner in the same location.
Chic Elopement Portraits in the City of Stockholm
After getting ready together, Maya slipped into her Delfina Balda wedding dress, which had a fashion-forward, non-traditional style. She put on her earrings, helped Stefan with his perfectly matched cufflinks, and tied her own small bouquet, saying, "I feel like you have to have some kind of flower." Then, we headed out for the portrait session, following a carefully curated route that made their elopement day feel like an experience rather than just a photoshoot.
We made sure to stop for a drink at their favourite bar, Katarinas Ölkafé, and to take in one of their favourite city views from Blasieholmen. This thoughtfully planned route produced wedding portraits that felt natural and personal, rather than forced.
